Ascent route to the Picco di Circe starting from the Crocette, part of the network of trail 750 on the promontory. The route reaches the ridge and the Picco through forest and Mediterranean scrub, with many viewpoints.
Trail 750 is graded for expert hikers (EE) and is not recommended for those who suffer from vertigo. The ridge route offers viewpoints over the dune barrier and the Sabaudia lakes, the Picco di Circe, the Gulf of Gaeta and the Pontine Islands. It crosses one of the most continuous forest systems in the Park and, heading towards the Quarto Caldo, Mediterranean scrub, also passing above the peregrine falcon’s nesting cliff. Before tackling the climb to the Picco, carefully consider your physical condition, the weather and the walking time.
