Trail starting from the Strada del Sole up a flight of stone steps and climbing the slope to the ridge. It crosses the ruins of the ancient walls of the Roman acropolis and ends at the Crocette car park. The first stretch has a considerable climb, a steep gradient and a loose gravel surface.
The route is suitable for expert hikers (EE). Take particular care in the first stretch because of the gradient and the loose gravel. On the way up you can see the peregrine falcon’s nesting cliff and a colony of dwarf palms. At about 300 metres above sea level the trail levels out on the ridge and becomes more comfortable, following a dirt track through the area of the Acropolis walls. Those interested only in the archaeological area can start from the Crocette and reach it in about 10 minutes.
